We use nutrient-enhanced, organic sterilized rye berries and oak hardwood substrate that is mixed at a perfect ratio of 2lbs to 1lb (substrate to grain spawn), resulting in over 3 pounds of weight in each bag. The bags are packaged in a sealed myco/grow bag with a .2 micron filter patch for gas exchange, ensuring that they arrive 100% sterile and ready to inoculate with your favorite mushroom spores or culture.
