The process is incredibly simple - add the brick to a tub or a tote (I prefer something that can be covered up to contain the steam), add 1 gallon of boiling water per brick you have, and let it soak in to break it apart. Once the brick has begun to break apart, cut open the vermiculite and gyspum packs and add into the blend and mix together thoroughly. Check your moisture levels to either add water or let it dry out a bit. Best method to check the moisture is to squeeze a handful of the substrate, if it has more than a few drops of water come out of it then it may be too moist.
